“We entered into cooperation with Skandinaviska Glassystem to supply steel components for their cladding system, which they will deliver to Alsik. We began working together partly because our set-up and logistics expertise have what it takes to be an extension of their manufacturing unit,” explains Lars Bohnsen, Sales Manager, Ib Andresen Industri.
Concerning partnering with Ib Andresen Industri, Franck Prinds, Project Manager, Skandinaviska Glassystem, explains: “The cladding modules for Alsik conform to our new energy-efficient sandwich concept, and Ib Andresen Industri’s steel processing expertise helps us implement this concept. We have high expectations for the concept, which requires all links of the value chain to work. In this respect, Ib Andresen Industri’s sheer experience instils in us the confidence to know it will work”.
Ib Andresen Industri manufactures and delivers steel components to be installed by Skandinaviska Glassystem in its prefabricated cladding modules. The steel components must keep the window glazing in place. The finished modules are delivered on site to the Sønderborg waterfront where they are quickly and easily fitted to the building.
Lars Bohnsen makes no effort to hide the potential for long-standing cooperation: “This is the first time we are joining forces with Skandinaviska Glassystem, but we definitely believe this project is just the beginning. There’s no doubt about it: we’re made for each other”.
